Gaye of Laws of the Kitchen chose Tropical Crumble on pages 418-419.I omitted the banana and added some peaches and served this with some strawberry and vanilla ice cream. It was a nice change from the standard apple crumble.
I think cooking the fruits in brown sugar was what made this so good, so I'm sure yours with peaches was great. I used pineapple, which was very tasty.
I almost just used just peaches as I was reluctant to use the plantains since they were so starchy. Yours looks great and the strawberry ice cream sounds like a wonderful pairing.
Looks fantastic, Tia! :)
ReplyDeleteI like your variation, I need to try it. Have a great day.
ReplyDeletePeaches sound great! Reminds me of peach cobbler.

ReplyDeleteSounds like a great combination! I think I might have preferred peaches to the bananas.
