TWD: Toasted-Coconut Custard Tart

This week's Tuesdays with Dorie is hosted by Beryl of Cinemon Girl who picked the Toasted-Coconut Custard Tart on pages 344 and 345. Thank you Beryl for picking something I wouldn't normally pick on my own and for pushing me out of my baking comfort zone.

For once I didn't change a thing about the recipe. I followed all the directions and ingredients to a T. If you like coconut cream pies, you won't be disappointed by this tart.

Before covering with whipped cream

Coconut Custard, cooking in my dutch oven.

My fiance loves coconut AND custard. I totally have to make this for him!

Anyway, I've been reading and enjoying your blog for awhile now, so I thought it was about time that I pop in and say "Hi!". :)

Your tart is perfect! Good call on using chocolate shavings on top, I think chocolate was the only thing that may have been missing. :-)

Ooee! Tia, this is divine! :-) I've been in a mocha tart rut lately, and this recipe has launched me out of it. Delish!

Um Tia, I wish I had a spoon. I would just dig right in. Looks scrumptious! Love stepping out and doing a recipe that is a less favorite choice too. Learning to love coconut here and somehow the whole warm coconut custard smell just is amazing. Glad you made it and thanks so much for stopping by and saying HI.
Your tart looks like delish!
