TWD: Tropical Crumble

Gaye of Laws of the Kitchen chose Tropical Crumble on pages 418-419.

I omitted the banana and added some peaches and served this with some strawberry and vanilla ice cream. It was a nice change from the standard apple crumble.

Peaches sound great! Reminds me of peach cobbler.

Sounds like a great combination! I think I might have preferred peaches to the bananas.

Looks great!

I think cooking the fruits in brown sugar was what made this so good, so I'm sure yours with peaches was great. I used pineapple, which was very tasty.

I was thinking of throwing in blueberries but I restrained myself.

Yours look like a party with the ice cream.

I almost just used just peaches as I was reluctant to use the plantains since they were so starchy. Yours looks great and the strawberry ice cream sounds like a wonderful pairing.

It was hard to resist using peaches in this one - and I can see why. Your crumble looks great!
