TWD: Chocolate Ganache Ice Cream

Katrina of Baking and Boys picked Chocolate Ganache Ice Cream on page 430.

I have only recently gotten to 'know' Katrina online through TWD. On top of having a great blog with dependable recipes, she's a sweetheart. I wish I lived near her so we could have baking parties! She is one of those bloggers I wish I knew in real life. I'm in awe of this woman - mother to 4 boys. Oh my goodness. I have only ONE boy and I'm exhausted!

Confession: Not a lot of this recipe actually made it to the ice cream maker. I had to fight off hungry straws wanting to sip it up - milkshake style. I also used milk chocolate because I'm a milk chocolate kinda gal!

This looks so creamy and tempting! Perfect for a hot summer's day (and we're still getting plenty of those).

Aw, thanks so much for the admiration! Wouldn't it be fun to have a big party and meet all these wonderful TWD people. Forget BlogHer, let's just have our own conference--at a big kitchen where we could all just bake and share (no kids allowed) ;)
Thanks for churning with me this week.

i can see why it was hard to make into icecream! i don't think i would have been able to resist it either.

OMG !!! Can it get any better than converting ganache into an ice-cream. I bookmarked and will SURELY try it out, even if I fail... lol :)

Priya - even if you fail, the worst thing would be a delicious frothy milkshake... or freeze into FUDGESICLES!!! :)

Tia, is that link to "baking and boys" right?. It is taking me godaddy.com site. Please check it out.

Ha - milkshake style! I admit I also dipped into it before it went into the ice cream maker.

Beautiful photos! I was licking spoons, too... it just begged to be tried before it went into the machine! :)

Great pictures of the ice cream! Milk chocolate sounds so good right now. We were taste testing before the mixture went into the ice cream bowl too =).

Love the first picture, and I know! It was hard to stay out of it... :)

Yum. And more yum. Yeah, I licked a spoon or two before I churned the custard. And then a spoon or two after...

I definitely debated whether the unfrozen stuff would make it to the ice cream machine. Now, I have to hide it away for my next project so it doesn't disappear! I would like to try your milk chocolate version.
